Novelco Publishing was founded in 2004 in Philadelphia and started with a simple premise: there was a growing need to revolutionize the publishing industry!  

• Too many retail booksellers were closing shop, so the traiditional retail market was drying up.  
• The emerging online book selling channel was driven largely by Amazon and a few smaller e-tailers.  
• To complicate matters even more, publishing companies and literarary agencies were streamlinig their respective businesses and being much more selective about who they’d represent and publish.  In other words, the market for published authors was becoming much smaller and opportunities to get published became much more precious.

As self-publishing became a thing in the early 2000s, Novelco stepped in to make it possible for authors of all levels—from beginners to experienced authors—to navigate the changes and new challenges and find ways to bring their stories to life.

Along the way Novelco began to develop an expertise in creating and publishing specialty books for a new breed of customer—those that wanted to share family stories, business histories and special interest books that would appeal to limited markets.  Thanks to new technology it was no longer possible to self-publish a large quantity of books.  You could do as few as one copy.

In the 19-plus years Novelco has been in business, we’ve expanded our locations to three markets, and thanks to the internet have made our services available to authors of all types around the globe.  Our sourcing has become global as well.  We can produce books of virtually any type with producers and printers all over the world, based on the scope of our projects.

The Novelco team has grown along with our company.  We’ve established a growing network of editors, designers, proofreaders, publicists, marketeers and fulfillment houses to help bring every book project to market.  We bring together the best experts to lend their expertise to your project on an as-needed basis.
