Overnight camp was and is a rite of passage for many fortunate boys and girls, especially during the boom years of the 50s and 60s.  But for Little Freddy Lavner of Southwest Philadelphia, his initial foray into sleep away camp at an out of state haven for middle class boys wasn’t exactly the experiences portrayed in the camp brochures.  Come along for the fun and capers of a legendary camper and counselor slacker at dear old Camp Airy.
